Build skills in using the "actor's instruments" in an energized and encouraging environment. While exploring sound and movement through singing, dancing and acting, students learn about breathing, rhythm, projection and timing. Students create their own short musical for presentation to parents and friends on the last day of class.

Jane Keitel is a professional actor, teaching artist and musician whose career centers in the NY/NJ region. Ms. Keitel has taught young performers at Playwrights Theatre of NJ, Papermill Playhouse, What Exit? Theatre, NJ School of Dramatic Arts, Twelve Miles West Theatre and countless school districts and boasts many repeat students and loyal families to her classes. She once co-owned an acting studio for children called Backstage Kids. Directing credits include professional youth productions of Les Miserables, School Ed., The Pirates of Penzance, and WASP. Music Directing credits include Beauty and the Beast and The Wiz.
Recent acting credits include Best Musical of NY Fringe winner MoM A Rock Concert Musical by Richard Caliban; Across the Wide and Lonesome Prairie by Julie Jensen at Growing Stage & Playwrights Theatre of NJ; The Good German by David Wiltse at Playwrights Theatre of NJ; and work at NYC’s The American Globe. Ms. Keitel has earned degrees from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and Montclair State University. She has improv training from Chicago City Limits and Carl Kissino.
