Professional Development Program

Teachers who write -- teach writing better.

A teacher who writes confidently and inventively is just the teacher students need to reap many of the important educational benefits which creative writing provides.

Playwrights Theatre is approved by the NJ Department of Education to provide Professional Development Credits.  Our offerings include hands-on workshops where teachers can grow more comfortable with, skillful in, and knowledgeable about playwriting, poetry, prose or creative writing in general.

Structure
    Basic Workshop - a 1.5 to 3 hour session
    Full Day Workshop - a 6 hour project-driven workshop
    Seminar - multiple artist and/or multiple session seminar

Class Size
    25 teachers maximum

Program Includes
    Hands-on workshop with a professional teaching artist
    Teaching materials (hand-outs and lesson plans)
    Certificate of Professional Development Credit Hours

Workshops in other Creative Art forms are available.  Call for more information.

Rates
    Prices start at $250 per hour
